Initially, Jeannette MacDougall is a painter. Her current work is in fresco and encaustic. Jeannette's mixed media approach to painting landscapes by intentionally layering, distressing and scraping away layers of pigment-wax is a statement regarding the way the land is affected when marred by misuse and destruction. She is committed to promoting land and water conservation awareness and the lack of it; particularly in the contrast between over-flooding rivers and desert drought.
