Journaling with the Poets Rumi & Hafiz - Carla Pineda
A journaling class with Carla Pineda.
Wander through the mystical poetry of Rumi (1207-1273) and Hafiz (1320-1389).
These two voices of years ago are loved and recited even today, in our western world, even though they are from different cultures and worlds very different than ours. (Rumi born in Afghanistan, Hafiz in Persia).
We’ll play with their words as prompts for journaling, wander through their timeless thoughts and mystery, finding a pathway onto our own pages.
Come be surprised, astonished, and yes, curious about these two voices from across time and place.
Rumi is one of the most widely read poets in the English language; Hafiz is known known as a “poet for poets” (Emerson).
Carla has a background in counseling, is a certified spiritual director, and a workshop/retreat leader. She has used a journal personally for over 25 years as a tool for reflection and personal growth. An avid reader, Carla has also led book study groups for decades.
