- W.S. Merwin was an American poet credited with over fifty books of poetry, translation and prose. His numerous books of poetry, his translations, and his books of prose have won praise over seven decades.

Carla Pineda has a background in counseling, is a certified spiritual director, and a workshop/retreat leader. She has used a journal personally for over 25 years as a tool for reflection and personal growth. She has also closely researched and studied about journaling as a spiritual practice and how journaling has evolved as a genre over the last 50 years. An avid reader, Carl has also led book study groups fro decades. Her thoughtful review of subjects with her research into numerous sources brings information, introduction to new ideas and applies them to our present lives in a most creative way. She suggests bringing a journal and your favorite writing implements.
